Battery life on the controllers should be pretty good, but equally, you don't want to throw your power away when you're not using them. After a short while they'll simply turn off on their own, likewise the headset will go to sleep. But if you need to turn them off manually, or turn them back on again, it's simple.
Hold down the Windows key on each controller for about 2 seconds. When it turns on you'll feel a single vibration. Repeat the process to turn them off again, and you'll feel a double vibration.
So, incredibly easy. But also not immediately obvious.

NEED HELP. Acer AH101. Plugged in but drivers not installing
Hi guys, any help here?
I just received my headset. I have the fall update and usb 3.0.
After plugging in the headset, nothing happens. The acer mixed reality program which does nothing except shows me a picture of the device is installed but the portal isn't launching.
Going into device manager i do not see the mixed reality tab. Only hololens sensor under 'other devices'
Opening that says it encountered error 28.
Trying to update it automatically yields
Windows found drivers but encountered a problem while installing.
The install class is not present or is invalid

EDIT: Root cause is Windows N edition. Installing media pack doesn't solve the problem. Rectifying steps, uninstall, do a clean installation of normal Windows.

Just thrash windows N. Nothing ever works on it and every windows update breaks it even more.
It is disgusting
